Don't risk damaging these fragile parts by usingg needle nose pliers or some other makeshift method. Sometimes you get lucky and they unscrew alright, other times the nuts get torn up or you may slip and scratch up your dash. This handy tool with an ergonomic T-handle design provides much more control & torque for these old stubborn fragile nuts than you can get using a screw driver or the socket-type tool.
